How much does junk removal cost in Pinellas County?

A single item starts at $99, a minimum load is $149, a half trailer is $329 and a full 14.5-yard trailer is $499, with dump fees included. Hillsborough County jobs add 10 percent or $40, whichever is more, because county disposal there costs about twice as much. Are dump fees really included?

Yes. The county charges by the ton at the scale, and that cost is built into every price on this site. The only extras are the ones listed on the price sheet, like refrigerant appliances, TVs, tires and heavy material such as concrete or shingles.

What is Drop & Haul, and how is it different from a dumpster?

Accepted Answer

Drop & Haul is our dump trailer left in your driveway for one or three days, or six days with a haul in the middle on the Double 3-day package. It holds about as much as a 15-yard dumpster, sits lower so you can load it without a ladder, and rolls on rubber tires with boards under the jacks so it will not crack your driveway. There is no street permit because it stays on your property, and disposal for the first ton is included in the flat price.

Do you really answer at 2 a.m.?

The phone is answered 24 hours a day. Standard jobs get scheduled into the next available window. If you need the trailer or the crew tonight, after-hours and same-hour service is available at the emergency rate on the price sheet.

Question 5

What will you not take?

Accepted Answer

Wet paint, chemicals, pesticides, gasoline and other fuels, propane and compressed-gas tanks, batteries, fluorescent tubes, asbestos or suspected asbestos, and medical or biohazard waste. Pinellas County residents can drop household hazardous waste free at the county's HHW center; we can tell you how. Tires are fine in any quantity: the first four ride free, then $15 each, $25 with a rim.

Do I need to be home?

Not for curbside or garage pickups if you leave access and send us a photo of what goes. For in-home jobs and Drop & Haul placement we like someone there for the first ten minutes to confirm the price and the spot.

What happens to what you haul?

Accepted Answer

Usable furniture and household goods go to donation partners. Appliances, grills, bed frames and other metal go to a scrap recycler. Yard waste goes to a yard-waste facility. What is left goes to the county disposal facility. We send a donation receipt on request.
